Lucy,
Today you are officially an adult. I can't believe it, but I also CAN believe it. You have grown to be incredibly driven and independent. I was asked to write a little tidbit about you for Young Women's since you are graduating soon. This is what I wrote:
Lucy is a strong, smart, reliable and resilient young woman! She has drive and determination that have helped her accomplish incredible goals. She loves a good challenge and will not stop until she succeeds. She has an unparalleled sense of user that keeps everyone laughing. Lucy is a music connoisseur and fully believes that few people appreciate good music like she does. Lucy loves deeply and fiercely, especially the students she coaches and her baby cousins!
You have made dad and me so proud. We know you will have amazing experiences ahead! I am so grateful that you made me a mother 18 years ago. Thank you for being our guinea pig and letting us practice our parenting skills. You have paved the way for your younger siblings and they have an incredible example to follow. I will forever cherish the moments snuggling, laughing, playing, crying, dancing, and hanging out with you! I love you no matter what. Forever and ever.
